| Our Boys Competitive Team Program competes under the structure set forth
by USA Gymnastics. We compete in the Class 6 through Elite Program. Our first team in 1984 won
the state championships, and we have never looked back. We have won many state, regional, and
national titles including the 1999 and 2003 and 2004 National Class 1(16-18 yr olds) National All-Around Champion.
We have qualified boys onto USA Teams that have traveled as far as Belarus and China to represent
USA Gymnastics. Whether it's a seven year old boy competing in his first season as a Class 6 gymnast, or an eighteen year old young man competing in a national championships trying to earn a college scholarship, our top notch staff works diligently day in and day out with all of our levels to create one of the best competitive programs in the country. With our staff and our facility we are looking forward to continued success. |

Tom Meadows Boys Competitive Program Director Tom Meadows began working with Cypress Academy 1995 and became the Boys Competitive Director in 2001. Tom attended the University of Oklahoma where he was a member of the 1991 National Championship Team and won two Big 8 titles on Still Rings and All-American status on Floor Exercise. Tom is a member of the Junior National Staff, a two time Texas Coach of the Year, and a recipient of the Robert Cowan Award. Tom brings a great balance of intensity and fun into the gym, constantly keeping a great perspective on the role that competitive gymnastics plays in the lives of his gymnasts. |

Colby Van Cleave Team Instructor Colby Van Cleave came to Cypress Academy in 1998. Colby has over 25 years of gymnastics experience and was a member of the U.S.A. National Team for 6 years. Colby attended the University of Minnesota where he was a member of the 1995 Big 10 Championship Team and earned All-American status on Vault. |

Shawn MorenO Team Instructor Shawn is going into his 6th year at Cypress Academy and his 2nd as the Boys Developmental Director. He started at Cypress Academy as an eager High School Junior. Falling in love with the sport and the children, he has decided to pursue gymnastics as his career. Shawn works with our compulsory boys program. |
