Maggie Ford
Founder, Program Director, Musical Theatre, Acting, Vocal Performance, Tap

Maggie Ford is a graduate from the University of Central Oklahoma where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Theatre. Maggie is the CO-Founder of CAPA and has been the program director since it’s birth in 1998. Some of her directorial credits include the musicals Annie, Snoopy!, Grease, Anything Goes, West Side Story, The Sound of Music, A Chorus Line, Bye Bye Birdie, Fiddler on the Roof, Once Upon A Mattress, Flapper, The Wizard of Oz, and countless reviews and recitals. Maggie has had over 20 years of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acting and Vocal instruction and has trained under Tamara Long, Kristen Chenoweth, Byyork Lee, Carveth Osterhaus, Billy Thrash, Lara Teeter, Greg White, LeeRoy Reams, and Bill Graham. Maggie has performed both regionally and nation wide. Some of her favorite roles include Joan in Dames at Sea, Miss Mazeppa in Gypsy, Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music, Oolie/Donna in City of Angels, Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors, Pat in Good News, and the Duchess in The Gondoliers. Maggie is also an accomplished singer/songwriter and is currently an aspiring play write and screenwriter. Maggie is also the proud mother her daughter Romi and son Holden.
Ana Acevedo
Ballet, Jazz, Pointe, Pre-School, Company

Ana began her classical ballet training in El Salvador in 1980. After touring with the Teatro De Danca Ballet Company for over three years Ana settled in Houston to complete her PCP RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) certification training. Ana has recently been awarded the highest honor and certification possible from the Royal Academy of Dance. Ana has directed and choreographed such ballets as Cats, Peter and the Wolf, and several productions of The Nutcracker. Ana has been with Cypress Academy of Performing Arts since 1998.
Ashley Horn
Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Company

Ashley Horn started her dance training at the age of six at Cypress Academy of Dance. She has studied ballet, jazz, hip-hop, pointe, and the Graham-Horton-Cunnigham disciplines of modern dance. Ashley is currently attending the University of Houston where she is working towards a degree in dance. Ashley performs professionally with the A Dance Company, Lyndon Dance Company, and the University of Houston Center for Choreography. Ashley’s works have been shown and awarded at the American College Dance Festival (ACDF), Big Range Dance Festival, and numerous concerts at North Harris College. Ashley is excited to call Cypress Academy home once again.
Angela Lanceford-Fry
Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Company

Angela began her training in ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, modern, and musical theatre at the age of six. After completing her studies at the Rowe School for the Performing Arts Angela traveled to Houston to become a dance major at North Harris College. Angela is currently dancing professionally with the A Dance Company, Lyndon Dance Company, and has won many solo titles at both regional and national competitions. Angela will be tying the knot on September 18th and will from then on be known as Mrs. Fry.
Stephanie Smith
Pre-School, Stage Tots, Teaching Assistant

Stephanie is currently attending Cy-Creek High School and will be graduating i n the Spring of 2006. Stephanie recently completed her training in the Cypress Academy Instructor Development Program by obtaining the minimum 100 hours of assistant studies. Stephanie is also an award winning dancer and vocalist with the Cypress Academy Company. Stephanie is currently training in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip-hop, acting, voice, and musical theatre. Stephanie has played such roles as Frenchy in Grease, Mrs. Sowerberry in Oliver, Snowboy in West Side Story, Ursula in Bye Bye Birdie, Paula in A Chorus Line, Queen Aggravain in Once Upon A Mattress, and Chris Gorman in Rumors. Upon graduation Stephanie plans to attend the University of Houston and major in Fine Arts and minor in dance. Stephanie hopes to one day run her own studio and become a well known director.
